Jagannath Patnaik resigns as OPCC coordination panel convenor
Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader Jagannath Patnaik on Wednesday resigned as the convenor of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Coordination Committee.
Jagannath took the step alleging loopholes in the party’s election preparation. He also resigned from the membership of Odisha Election Committee.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge Jitendra Singh had appointed Jagannth Patnaik as the convenor of OPCC Coordination Committee on April 19 last year. Similarly, in September last year, he was also appointed as the member of the OPCC Executive Committee by AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
