Odisha Govt To Disburse Subhadra Yojana Money To Over 32 Lakh On Oct 9, Rs 1 To Be Credited Today For DBT Testing
Bhubaneswar: The total number of applicants for Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana is likely to touch one crore on Monday.
Giving this information, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said the total applications were around 12,000 short of the one crore mark by Sunday.
Notably, the ambitious Subhadra Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a special function held at Bhubaneswar on his birthday on September 17. The second phase payment of the first instalment is scheduled to be released on October 9.
The state government has already announced that the women beneficiaries, who complete their application process by October 7, will receive their first instalment of Rs 5,000 on that day.
The SMS regarding the credit of Rs one will be received by the eligible beneficiaries on Monday. The eligible beneficiaries will receive Re 1 in their registered bank accounts during the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) testing.
The Deputy CM said that the first instalment will be disbursed to 32 lakh beneficiaries in the second phase on October 9 as clearances have been received from the agency concerned. More clearances regarding the applicants are likely to be received and the number of beneficiaries is likely to go up accordingly.
A committee will review the applications which were rejected to ascertain the reason and find steps needed for clearing them as the government wants the benefit of the scheme to reach all beneficiaries by December, she added.
