Lok Sabha Elections: 102 parliamentary constituencies across 21 states going to polls tomorrow

New Delhi: Several states and Union territories will vote in Phase 1 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on Friday, April 19. About 10 states and UTs will be fully covered, while 11 others will be partially covered during this phase, where some high-profile candidates will lock horns.

The first phase of polling will be held in 102 parliamentary constituencies across 21 states. As per the Elections Commission’s schedule, the Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases. The results, to be declared on June 4, will decide the country’s next Prime Minister.

Some of the key candidates in the fray in the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls are Chirag Paswan (Jamui), Nakul Nath (Chhindwara), K Annamalai (Coimbatore), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (Thoothukudi) and Jitin Prasada (Pilibhit).
