Matric results likely to be announced by May second week

Cuttack: Results of the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination, commonly known as the Matriculation or the class 10 board examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, are expected to be announced in the second week of May. This announcement was made by BSE President Srikant Tarai, clearing the air surrounding the anticipated time regarding the publication of the matriculation results.

Speaking to the media, the BSE president informed that the evaluation process has almost completed. “The evaluation of answer copies had started on March 19 and no problems were witnessed. However, due to various exams, there was a stoppage of the evaluation process for three days. We had targeted to complete the process 30th but it got extended till April 3 or 4. We are trying to publish the matriculation results by May second week so that students do not face problems in taking admission in higher education,” he said.

The Board always thinks about the interest of the students and an appropriate decision has been taken in this regard in Science subject. As it is a decision of examination committee, the students need not to worry, the BSE President said.

With technical and manual support, we hope that the matriculation examination results will be published by the second week of May. Watermark in question paper measure was undertaken by the BSE Odisha and it helped us to ensure that students appeared the exam without any issues. Through AI and other measures, incidents of question papers going viral and other issues were checked this time.

The Class 10 board exams concluded last month and over 5.5 lakh students appeared for the exam this year. The evaluation of answer sheets began shortly after and is being conducted at multiple centers across the state under strict supervision.

Tarai assured that all steps are being taken to ensure a smooth and error-free result publication. “We are committed to maintaining transparency and accuracy in the process. Students can expect the results to be declared in the third week of May unless there is any unforeseen delay,” he added.

Once announced, the results will be made available on the official website of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha and can be accessed using roll numbers.

The Board also appealed to students and parents not to panic and rely only on official channels for updates. With the evaluation phase wrapping up, anticipation continues to build as students await this crucial milestone in their academic journey.
