Govt creates 514 new posts ahead of Amit Shah-Mohan Majhi meeting in Delhi

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has created 514 new posts in State Forensic Science Services Organisation and State Prosecution Service.

This has come ahead of the meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi to review the state’s preparedness to implement three new criminal laws- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.

According to the release issued by the state Home Department on April 8, 247 different categories of posts have been created in State Forensic Science Services Organisation to strengthen the criminal justice system in the state.

Another 267 posts have been created for Directorate of Public Prosecution and District Directorate of Prosecution in accordance with Section 20 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, it added.
