Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday approved 9 new industrial projects with a cumulative investment of Rs 873.57 crore.
These projects, which will come up in Khurda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Jajpur, Deogarh and Jharsuguda districts in the state, will create 2,500+ employment opportunities and boost the economy of Odisha, an official release said.
The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary P K Jena cleared Petronet LNG Limited’s Compressed Bio Gas and Fermented Organic Manure plant of 33,065 MT annual capacity and a dual advantage of chemical production and renewable energy, in Deogarh.
Similarly, Pearl Precision Products Pvt Ltd will set up a cutting-edge Plastic Faucet, Water Tank, Pipes, and Fittings manufacturing unit at Paradeep Plastic Park, Jagatsinghpur. Similarly, Indopet Polyplast Pvt Ltd will establish a high-capacity manufacturing unit for Food Grade Pet Bottles, Jars & Pre-forms, with an annual capacity of 8,000 MT in Khurda.
The SLSWCA has also given its approval to TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd’s comprehensive project. “Spanning 57,000 MT basic raw material grinding unit, 11,700 MT monolithic raw material grinding unit, 8,900 MT high alumina raw material grinding unit, and 14,400 MT grog processing unit, this venture is located in Jharsuguda.”
Chosun Sarvesh Refractories Private Limited’s 14,400 MT Tap Hole Clay unit also got the nod. It will be come up at Kuanramunda, Sundargarh. Chosun is a South Korea company. Saizar Enterprise Private Limited will erect a Steel processing unit for HR & CR coil at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur, adding to Odisha’s steel processing capabilities.
Vikram Private Limited also got the go-ahead for its expansion project for a 0.12 MTPA SMS and 0.1 MTPA TMT plant at Lahunipada, Sundargarh. “The Agro & Food Processing sector receives a substantial boost with Coastal Biotech Private Limited’s corn processing & corn starch manufacturing unit. This venture, situated in Bamuni Industrial Estate in Nabarangpur district, will leverage the district’s maize production capacity.”
In a boost to tourism in Odisha, SNM Hotel And Resorts Private Limited will be coming up with a Hotel and Resort facility at Chikiti, Ganjam. “The project in the tourism sector underpins the state’s efforts for broad-based industrial growth,” the release added.
