American India Foundation seeks to work with Odisha Govt.

Bhubaneswar: A delegation from American India Foundation (AIF) made a presentation on their projects and initiatives to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo at Lok Seva Bhavan here on Friday.

The Foundation is working in the areas of integrated program for early childhood care development, treating malnutrition, education for children from 6 months to 6 years of old. Currently, the Trust is working on the early childhood care in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, and on a pilot basis, it is working in collaboration with anganwadi centres for child care in two of the blocks of Mayurbhanj district.

The trust is keen to work in collaboration with the State government of Odisha in the area of education, early childhood care and integrated program that impact and reduce the stunting and malnutrition in children.

Minister of School & Mass Education, ST&SC and SSEPD Nityananda Gond was also present during the presentation. The meeting was attended by Commissioner-cum-Secretary Mission Shakti Shalini Pandit, Regional Director of the Foundation Smruti Das, Subrat Sarkar were present and gave their valuable feedback on the presentation.
