Bhubaneswar: The CII Young Indians (Yi), Bhubaneswar chapter is organising the second edition of ‘Yi Run – Bhubaneswar by Nite | Rise Above Addiction & Break the Silence’ to promote drug-free Odisha on Sunday.
Supported by the Sports and Youth Affairs, and Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities departments, Bhubaneswar by Night marathon aims to unite the community in raising awareness on mental health and drug abuse, encouraging open conversations and inspiring a healthier, drug-free life for all. The marathon will be flagged off on Sunday at Kalinga Stadium.
Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs Suryabanshi Suraj and senior bureaucrats of the departments along with actor, social activist and national Rugby player Rahul Bose and President of Hockey India and former Rajya Sabha member and ex-captain Indian Hockey team Dilip Tirkey will flag off the event.
The marathon invites community members, organizations, forums, medical fraternity, and fitness enthusiasts, school and colleges, senior Citizen & corporate to unite and run for drug-free Odisha. Participants have a chance to win cash prizes totaling Rs.1,02,000 across three categories – 2.5 km Fun Run (Non-Timed), 5 km Timed Run and 10 km Timed Run.
