BJP Aims At 51% Vote Share In 2024 Polls With Added Focus On Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that it is finetuning its strategy with a target to secure 51 per cent vote share in the 2024 elections in all states.

Giving this information to reporters in Bhubaneswar, BJP’s state unit president Manmohan Samal said the roadmap for the coming polls was finalised during the two-day meeting of the BJP national office-bearers in New Delhi recently.

Stating that special focus will be on Odisha, the senior BJP leader said that separate strategies have been worked out for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections to be held next year.

Asserting that the saffron party was according extra emphasis on substantially improving its poll performance in Odisha, Samal said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah held discussions till late night during the meeting.

The state BJP chief further stated that a detailed discussion was also held on the organisational structure ahead of the crucial elections in Odisha, where Assembly polls are also slated to be held.
Stating that BJP’s performance in 2019 polls was much better than its show in 2014, he said the party’s performance in 2024 will be extraordinarily better than its 2019 poll show.

To achieve the goal, everybody has been asked to work hard and ensure proper implementation of the strategy at the ground level.

The senior BJP leader further said that top central leaders of the party will visit the state to further bolster the poll prospects in the coming months.
