Bhubaneswar: Defying the security protocols, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday went straight to the crowd to meet and hear complaints of persons with disabilities (PwDs) who were anxiously waiting at his grievance cell here.
The chief minister received the applications from as many as 35 physically challenged persons who had come from different parts of the state. Several ministers and officers of different departments accompanied the chief minister during the meeting.
After receiving the applications and personally hearing the Divyangs, Majhi assured them of resolving their issues. He also instructed the officials to take necessary steps on the complaints on the spot. The complaints of different ages, mostly women, varied from various problems including family disputes to criminal cases, business problems, negligence of officials, health issues.
They expressed their happiness on personally meeting the Chief Minister and satisfaction on his assurance on solving their problems. The grievance cell of the Chief Minister resumed on Monday after a brief break.
