Kaniha: Hindi Diwas was observed on 14th September at NTPC Kaniha. The day also marked the beginning of Hindi Pakhwada (Hindi Fortnight). The Pakhwada is organised in offices/departments of Central Government and Public Sector Undertakings to promote the usage and popularise use of official language, Hindi.
N. Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha administered the Hindi pledge to the employees. In his message, Rao urged the employees to make best use of available modern technology to increase the use of Hindi in official communication.
Later, a Hindi Workshop was organised for Heads of Departments to acquaint them with latest provisions of the Official Language Act and its implementation in office work. A quiz competition on Rajbhasha was also organised for senior officials.
