Link mobile number to single bank account to get Subhadra money in 3rd phase: Deputy CM

Bhubaneswar: As the date for the third phase of Subhadra Yojana’s first installment nears, Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida on Wednesday advised beneficiaries to link their mobile number to a single bank account instead of multiple accounts.

The Deputy CM informed that around 5 lakh women have been so far deprived of the benefits due to discrepancy in linkage of mobile number, bank account and Aadhaar card.

“The list of the rejected 2.67 lakh women has been sent to all the respective blocks. Around 5 lakh women have been deprived of the Subhadra benefit due to discrepancy in linkage of mobile numbers in bank accounts and Aadhaar card. Many have linked one single number to several bank accounts,” the Deputy CM stated.

She urged everyone to link their mobile number to just one account. “I request everyone to link their mobile number with just one bank account and visit National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) bank to get clear information,” said the Deputy CM.

“Anganwandi workers will physically verify in every village. We have also found that many women do not have own single patch of land, but they have been deprived as someone may have sold paddy in their names in mandis. An inquiry will be done into this matter,” the Deputy CM concluded.

“I’m hopeful that everyone will get their money during the third phase of first installment that will be credited on November 24. By any chance, if any genuine beneficiary is still deprived, he/she will get it in the fourth (last) phase,” she added.
