Bhubaneswar: With the return of heatwave, temperature in most parts of Odisha is likely to rise further during the next three days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
In its midday bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said heatwave condition is likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Angul, and Dhenkanal till Sunday. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts during the period.
Similarly, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts during the period.
On Sunday and Monday, heatwave condition is likely to prevail at one or two places of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda,Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Angul districts. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts during the period.
Likewise, hot and Humid Conditions is likely to prevail at one or two places of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts.
The weather agency predicted rain and thundershower in several parts of the state between April 3 and 5. On April 3-4, light rain or thundershower may occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, and Kalahandi.
On April 4-5, light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, and Gajapati. Maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise by 2-3 °C during next two days and thereafter fall by 2-3 °C in the state, the weather agency said.
