Bhubaneswar: BJD president and former Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik arrived at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Odisha CM-designate Mohan Charan Majhi.
The former Chief Minister was seen interacting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah after reaching the venue of the oath-taking ceremony of the first BJP government in the state. He then seen occupying a seat near Union Ministers J P Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan.
A host of VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government in the state. Apart from PM Modi, several Union Ministers including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states including Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai also attended the oath-taking ceremony.
