Odisha faces early Summer heat as temperature soars, Bhubaneswar records 34.4 deg C

Bhubaneswar: Even as February has just begun, Odisha has already started feeling the heat with temperatures rising at several locations across the State. This unexpected rise in temperature has raised concerns about an intense summer ahead.

According to the regional meteorological centre in Bhubaneswar, the capital city recorded 34.4 degree Celsius by 2.30 pm on Sunday. The highest maximum temperature of 35.6°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi, the weather office informed.

Moreover, a yellow warning for dense fog for 24 hours has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Dry weather is likely to continue in Odisha on February 3 and 4. Shallow to moderate fog may occur in Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Ganjam, and some areas in Puri, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Sundargarh. Yellow Warning: Dense fog will prevail over Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, and Khurda.
