Bhubaneswar: The process of paddy procurement has been widened across Odisha in the current kharif season. Registered farmers are getting the minimum support price to their bank accounts within 48 hours of selling paddy at the mandis.
Officials have been appointed at various stages at the government level to provide the minimum assistance directly to the accounts of the farmers. They work on a 24-hour basis to protect the interests of the farmers.
Prompt action is being taken in case of any complaint. The civil supply officials are taking appropriate action in this connection. These officers prioritise the interest of the farmers as important and are working to get their dues. The accounts of the farmers are being initially mapped and verified meticulously, a release stated.
The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department is taking extensive steps and prompt action.
