Bhubaneswar: As per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V K Pandian visited Koraput on Saturday and reviewed the progress of various developmental works in the district and interacted with students and general public.
He participated in the Nua-O Programme being held at the government College ground at Koraput and interacted with students of all colleges of the district. He motivated the students to work hard and do well in their chosen careers.
Pandian suggested them to participate in Nua-O program to showcase their talent and achieve overall personality development in addition to their academic achievements.
The Nabin Odisha Chairman also reviewed the progress of development of Gupteswar Temple at Boipariguda being undertaken at a cost of Rs 20.20 crore.
This apart, Pandian reviewed the progress of major projects – Jhanjabati river barrage project taken up at a cost of Rs 100 crore; construction of 650 bedded new hospital building and construction of cancer wing at Sri Laxman Naik Medical College & Hospital, Koraput at a cost of Rs 266 crore; construction of new 300 bedded hospital at DHH, Jeypore at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
He also reviewed the progress of renovation of other major roads projects at a cost of Rs. 172.40 crore and major bridge projects at a cost of Rs. 210 crore being implemented in the district.
Some of the projects have been taken up after the previous visit of Pandian to Koraput District when he attended the grievance meetings and took feedback from the public.
Later, he interacted with the general public at Dussehra ground at Jeypore and received their grievances on various issues and assured early resolution.
