Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced the initiation of welfare projects worth Rs. 890 crores in Bolangir and during his visit on Saturday, CM Majhi criticized the previous government for neglecting the region despite adequate leadership, highlighting the lack of developmental work carried out over the years.
The new projects include the commencement of work on the Tusura airstrip and the expedited completion of the Khordha-Bolangir railway project. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to enhance infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents in Bolangir.
Addressing a public gathering, CM Majhi emphasized the government’s commitment to rectifying past neglect and ensuring equitable development across the state. “We are dedicated to transforming Bolangir with these substantial investments. The Tusura airstrip upgrade and the Khordha-Bolangir railway project are just the beginning,” he stated.
The Tusura airstrip project, set to begin soon, aims to improve connectivity and stimulate economic growth in the region. Meanwhile, the Khordha-Bolangir railway project, which has faced delays, is now on track for timely completion, promising better transportation links and opportunities for local communities.
