Under this programme, authorities are gearing up for the 4th phase transfer of the first instalment to beneficiaries by December 25, informed the State government on Wednesday.

Officials have announced that a comprehensive list of qualified and unqualified recipients will be released by 6 December. Beneficiaries will have a seven-day period to file objections concerning their eligibility status. As of 1 December, a total of 1,05,36,612 women have applied under the ‘Subhadra’ scheme.

According to sources, a review meeting regarding the progress of field executives under the Subhadra Yojana was held on Wednesday. Development Commissioner Anu Garg led the review meeting focusing on the scheme’s progress. The meeting, which also saw the participation of Shubha Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, assessed various aspects including the rigorous verification measures being executed by on-field teams.

Earlier, Deputy CM Pravati Parida announced that girls turning 21 in November are eligible for the mega scheme and requested everyone to apply without any further delay. Speaking to media persons, Parida highlighted that the Odisha government is committed to finding eligible beneficiaries, who were rejected due to various reasons, and adding them to the financial assistance scheme.

“All the eligible beneficiaries, now in the rejected list, will be included in the upcoming fourth phase of the first instalment,” the Deputy CM added.
