Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast a further rise in the day temperature across Odisha during the next three days with a heat wave warning for five districts for 2 days.
According to the midday bulletin, heatwave conditions may prevail at one or two places in Sonepur, Balangir, Boudh, Kalahandi and Sambalpur on March 29-30. It further stated that the day temperature is expected to gradually rise by 2-4°C during the next 3 days. The night temperature may also witness an upward swing after 24 hours and rise by 2-3°C in the subsequent 4 days across the state, it added.
On Tuesday, Boudh recorded the highest temperature of 38°C, followed by Sonepur (37.6°C) and Malkangiri (37.3°C).
