Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis: Dalibor Svrcina lifts singles crown

Bhubaneswar: Top-seeded 22-year-old Czech player Dalibor Svrcina showed his class en route to lifting the singles title in the M25 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour 2024 here on Sunday.

The player from Czech Republic conceded just two games as he outclassed America’s No. 7 seed Nick Chappell 6-2, 6-0 in the final at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre. Svrcina earned $3,600 and 25 ATP singles ranking points, while Chappell received $2,120 and 16 points.

Odisha Tennis Association president Asit Tripathy and secretary Satyajit Mohanty presented the trophies to the finalists. On Saturday, Odisha boy Kabir Hans and Rishab Agarwal finished runners-up to top seeds Egor Agafonov and Bogdan Bobrov.
