Biswabhusan Harichandan gets key role at Centre for Narendra Modi Studies

Bhubaneswar: Former Governor and Odisha’s veteran leader Biswabhusan Harichandan has been appointed as Chairman of advisory council of the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMC) at Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.

The appointment of Harichandan was taken during the centre’s executive council meeting on December 3. Harichandan’s appointment would help propel the mission of intellectual engagement and impactful programmes, a release from the institution stated on Saturday.

Harichandan, who held minister posts in Odisha, had earlier served as Governor of Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. The centre also known as NaMo Kendra is an independent global research centre where eminent leaders, intellectuals, thinkers, social reformers, educators convene to address the multifaceted challenges confronting the nation and to devise a strategic roadmap for Bharat’s emergence as a global power.

Set up in 2016, the Centre is dedicated to analyse the dynamics and prospects of Bharat’s governance and to comprehend the nuances of Bharat in its global milieu through the prism of its advancing civilization. NaMo Kendra engages in a broad spectrum of scholarly pursuits in various governance-related fields such as human rights, public policy, international relations, environmental politics, innovation, technology policy, climate change, global governance, conflict resolution, national security, leadership and diplomacy.
