Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday expelled senior leader and former state executive member Bijoy Mohapatra and two others for anti-party activities.
The two other leaders expelled are state executive member Sarada Pradhan and vice-president of state BJP SC Morcha Rakesh Mallick. The disciplinary action was taken on the directions of state president Manmohan Samal, party sources said.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mohapatra’s son, Arvind, is contesting the Assembly elections from Patkura on BJD ticket. And the former minister is supporting his son and appealing people to vote for him.
