Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi heard the complaints of around 1,000 people at his grievance cell on Monday.
The chief minister first attended to the complaints of Divyangs at the grievance cell. Around 30 persons with disabilities (PwDs) from across the State had turned up to submit their grievances. He personally went to each of them to patiently hear their issues.
Most of the complaints related to housing, government allowances and other basic problems of the people. Majhi directed the officials of the departments concerned to immediately solve the problems at the grassroots level.
Several ministers including Mukesh Mahaling, Krushna Chandra Patra, Pradip Balsamant, Ganeshram Khuntia and Rabi Narayan Nayak were present during the hearing.
It may be noted the chief minister’s grievance cell is opened every Monday. But it had remained closed for last several weeks due to engagement of the chief minister. It was the sixth hearing by Majhi since he came to power.
