Dharmendra Pradhan flags off 15 high-tech PCR vehicles in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday inaugurated the 112 dial facility and flagged off 15 new technologically-advanced PCR (Police Control Room) vehicles in Odisha’s Sambalpur on Sunday.

The PCR vans are equipped with modern gadgets, including GPS tracking, VHF systems, and 360 degree vehicle-mounted PTZ cameras, to aid in surveillance and evidence collection. Twelve among these vehicles will be stationed in the city to respond to any calls on the emergency number 112, seeking immediate police help.

Dharmendra, who is also the MP from Sambalpur, said that the vehicles will help in controlling crime in the city. He also thanked Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, who holds the Home portfolio, for the induction of the PCR vans. He added that these vehicles will improve the emergency response time and ensure security and safety of the denizens.
