Bhubaneswar: Anupama James, an Odisha Cadre IPS officer, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a central deputation.
The officer from the 2013 batch is presently serving as the SP in the Odisha Vigilance Department.
The Home Department has issued a notification to the effect. “The services of Ms Anupama James, IPS (OD: 2013) at present SP, Vigilance, Odisha are placed at the disposal of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs for her appointment as Superintendent of Police in National Investigation Agency (NIA) on deputation basis.” it read.
The notification further states that IPS Anupama James has been relieved of her current duties to take on this new role at the Centre.
