Martyr’s remains arrive in Bhubaneswar, CM pays tribute at airport

Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of martyred Odia soldier Raj Kishore Munda arrived in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi offered floral tributes soon after the body of Munda arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar.

Munda, who was a Havildar in 6th Battalion of the Bihar Regiment, hailed from Nuagaon village under Sadar block of Keonjhar district. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

The martyr soldier was honoured with full state respect as his body arrived at the airport. Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the late soldier’s family, the Chief Minister said his bravery and sacrifice for the nation will always be remembered.
