Modi to hold another roadshow in Puri on May 20

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha again on May 20 and hold a roadshow in Puri, state BJP vice-president Golak Mohapatra informed on Sunday. Modi will also address public gatherings in Cuttack and Angul, he added.

Mohapatra further informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address mega rallies at Rourkela, Sorada and Kantabanjj on May 15. Two days later, J P Nadda will also campaign for BJP at Padampur, Sundargarh and Hinjili, which is home turf of chief minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik from where he is seeking re-election for the sixth term.

These 6 places falls under Bargarh, Sundargarh, Balangir, and Aska parliamentary constituencies, which along with Kandhamal, will go to polls in the second round elections in the state on May 20. Both Sorada and Hinjili are under Aska LS seat, considered a pocket borough of the ruling BJD.

Voting in Puri, Cuttack and Angul, which falls under Sambalpur LS seat, will be held on May 25.

During his second visit to Odisha in a week, Modi on May 10 held a 2.5-km roadshow in Bhubaneswar. He also addressed three ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ rallies in Kandhamal, Balangir and Bargarh. While Shah had sounded the poll bugle for the BJP in Odisha from Sonepur on April 26, Nadda had addressed a rally in Berhampur on April 28.
