Odisha eyes investments from Coimbatore entrepreneurs

Bhubaneswar: Odisha possesses a distinctive advantage in enticing investments in various sectors including mines and mineral, IT and downstream metal industries. A resource-rich coastal State in India, Odisha holds the distinction of having the highest mineral production in the country, said Minister of Industries, Skill & Technical Education Sampad Chandra Swain here on Thursday.

While interacting with a team of 22 industrialists & entrepreneurs from Coimbatore at IDCO Tower here, the Minister said the new government is committed to promote entrepreneurship in the State and invite investments in Odisha. In the last couple of years, Odisha has marched ahead with confidence to etch its name firmly in the IT landscape of the country.

Principal Secretary of Industries Department Hemant Sharma and Special Secretary of the department Bhupendra Singh Poonia also interacted with the entrepreneurs and invited them to invest in Odisha.

CII Young Indians (Yi) Bhubaneswar is hosting Yi Coimbatore delegates as part of the cross chapter learning & exchange programme from July 18 to 20. Among others, Yi Bhubaneswar members and owners of Odisha-based Startups were present.
