Bhubaneswar: A day after notifying implementation of National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 at school-level, the Odisha government on Thursday formed a panel to develop the state curriculum framework in alignment with the national curriculum framework with local conceptualisation.
The 16-member State Steering Committee will be headed by Prof Nityananda Pradhan, former principal of Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhopal. Sources said that the new curriculum will first be prepared for the primary level classes in alignment with the NIPUN Odisha mission, which aims to strengthen foundational skills, with help of NCERT.
On Wednesday, the School and Mass Education department informed that NEP-2020 will be implemented in the state for strengthening of the educational system and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) with local contextualisation will be adopted as the State Curriculum Framework for Odisha.
