Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is taking steps to fill up 1.5 lakh vacant posts in next five years, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Wednesday.
Speaking on behalf of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the Assembly, Mahaling said the government would make appointment to 65,000 vacant posts in next two years.
“The government has already initiated process to make appointment to total 34,686 vacant posts by December. Similarly, 21,979 posts lying vacant in the School and Mass Education department will be filled up before the end of this month,” the minister said.
Mahaling further said the government would enact a law to make the process for appointment to the posts under it transparent and impartial.
