Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to support farmers, Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, has inaugurated a 24-hour control room and a toll-free helpline to address paddy procurement issues.
This initiative aims to provide immediate assistance and resolve concerns faced by farmers during the procurement process.
Farmers can now report any issues or seek guidance by calling the toll-free number 1967. The control room will operate round the clock, ensuring that farmers receive timely support and their grievances are addressed promptly. This step is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline the paddy procurement process and ensure fair compensation for farmers.
Minister Patra emphasized the importance of this initiative in enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the procurement process. He assured farmers that the government is committed to addressing their concerns and providing the necessary support to ensure a smooth and hassle-free procurement season.
