PM Modi to visit Odisha again on May 29 for final push to BJP
Bhubaneswar: To further intensify BJP’s campaign for the last phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state again on May 29. Modi is scheduled to address mega public meetings in Balasore and Kendrapada Parliamentary constituencies, BJP’s election in-charge for Odisha Vijay Pal Singh Tomar said.
This will be Modi’s fourth visit to Odisha during electioneering in a month as BJP is leaving no stone unturned to bolster its poll prospects in the state. Modi had earlier visited Odisha on May 6, 10, and 19. Besides holding two mega roadshows in Bhubaneswar and Puri, the PM had addressed five election rallies during his earlier visits to the state.
Ahead of PM’s tour, BJP stalwart and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also visit Odisha on May 25 and address election rallies in Baripada, Chandbali, Korei and Nimapara (Jagatsinghpur).
Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha are being conducted in four phases. While first two rounds were held on May 13 and 20, two more phases are scheduled to be held on May 25 and June 1. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
