Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu, on a four-day visit to Odisha, arrived in Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening.
A special Indian Air Force carrying President Murmu landed at the Biju Patnaik Internation Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at around 6.30 pm. She was received by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the airport.
The President directly went to Jaydev Bhawan in the city from the airport to attend a function to mark 96th death anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das.
President Murmu will stay in Raj Bhavan overnight and attend the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in the pilgrim town of Puri on Sunday.
The President is scheduled to attend several functions in Bhubaneswar and nearby areas over next two days before flying back to New Delhi.
