Berhampur: Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to inclusive growth and community empowerment, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has launched a transformative ‘Adhikaar’ project.
This flagship initiative aims to uplift and serve as a bridge between communities and government welfare schemes, positively impacting lives across 50 villages in Koraput district. The project is dedicated to empowering rural and marginalized populations, elderly and economically disadvantaged families by enhancing their access to government welfare programs. The scheme focuses majorly on bringing various Govt. schemes to the last mile.
The initiative enables individuals—many of whom rely on agriculture for their livelihoods—to understand their entitlements and overcome barriers to essential services. Designed to foster equitable access, Adhikaar bridges the gap between beneficiaries and central and state welfare schemes through a comprehensive and supportive approach.
As part of the initiative, it has set up the Adhikaar Soochna Kendra in Boipariguda to connect communities with a wide range of government programs such as the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY), Subhadra Yojana, CM Kisan, PM Kisan, and others. The center plays a pivotal role in simplifying application processes, facilitating identity documentation, and ensuring compliance with government requirements. Thousands of individuals are now benefiting from this comprehensive initiative.
Malati Harijan, a woman farmer, successfully enrolled in the Krushak Odisha and CM Kisan Schemes with assistance from the Adhikaar Soochna Kendra. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “The TPSODL team informed us about these schemes and guided me through the application process. I am truly thankful to them.”
In addition to the Adhikaar Soochna Kendra, TPSODL organizes regular enrolment camps across its operational areas, ensuring access to these services even in the remotest corners. “Through the Adhikaar initiative, we are committed to uplifting socio-economic conditions for the people we serve. This is more than a program; it is our pledge to build an equitable and inclusive future.” said Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL.
Recognising the importance of identity verification in accessing government services, the ‘Adhikaar’ initiative also prioritises essential documentation services, including PAN Card and Aadhaar Card facilitation. With the ‘Adhikaar’ Project, TPSODL reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive development, creating meaningful impacts, and empowering the communities it proudly serves.
