Bhubaneswar: Six students from Bhubaneswar have been awarded in different categories at the Regional Round of Young Indians Parliament (YIP) organised by Young Indians (Yi) at Ranchi recently.
The YIP is a pioneering initiative designed to bring the parliamentary process in a new format to the youth of India. The mission is to empower the next generation of leaders by providing them with a platform to voice their opinions, develop critical thinking, and enhance public speaking skills.
As many as 39 students from classes 9 to 12 of Mothers Public School, KIIT International School and KT Global School participated at the regional round. Dignitaries like MP Rajya Sabha Mahua Majhi, former MLA Kunal Sarangi and Convenor of Election Management (Jharkhand) Mrityunjay Sharma attended the regional round as judges. A total of 113 students from Jamshedpur, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata & Siliguri had participated. The national-level final will be held in November at New Delhi.
While four students from KIIT International School received awards, two students from Mothers Public School, Khandagiri bagged the prizes.
